Pregnancy

Osteopathy during pregnancy supports the health and well-being of women as their bodies go through the most extraordinary shape-shifting process that is required to grow a baby. I love helping women to feel comfortable and at ease during this time, and also supporting them to prepare for the birth and the postpartum period.

My postgraduate training at the Osteopathic Centre for Children included studying the incredible anatomical and physiological transformations of the female body durning pregnancy, and this has equipped me to give specialised treatment to pregnant women experiencing musculoskeletal issues such as pelvic girdle pain (PGP).

Treatment during pregnancy also positively influences the growing baby, allowing for optimal alignment and positioning in preparation for birth. I very often go on to meet and treat the babies of the women I’ve treated during pregnancy, once they are born, and this brings me a lot of joy!
